COURSE DESCRIPTION
Children's Theatre in Production is a course designed to teach students to develop theatre for children. Elements of design, directing, acting, creative dramatics, and child drama will be covered. Students will actively participate in a theatrical production as well as independently direct a scene.
OBJECTIVE
- To understand how drama can be an effective tool in teaching young students
- To experience a production created for children
- To learn the techniques necessary to create such a production.
- To understand the breadth of children's literature and how it can be dramatized.
